Criminology Podcast App UI/UX Design
Criminology was a podcast app that explored various types of crime investigations and offered a range of crime genres to choose from. The client reached out to commission a design prototype for their app. They wanted to compile most of the crime podcasts from the internet into one single, easy-to-use application.
In the podcast landscape, it is challenging to find a viable source to listen to, and many contain advertisements that conflict with the users’ listening experience. The goal was to design a reliable app that provides users with a platform to enhance their knowledge without feeling overwhelmed.
Before designing the wireframes, I chose the colors Noir Blue, Grim Red, and Dead Yellow, as these were simple colors that evoke a sense of mystery and caution. This color palette suited well with the podcast that touches topics about crime. I had to make some adjustments to the saturation of the red since it blended into the background.
